Lopez here and I have a question for the people out there. It was inspired by a question asked right here on this blog!
A gal asked if it was ok to send a guy flowers. What do you think? I see no problem with that. As long as they are manly flowers! I don't know what a manly flower is, but there has to be some sort of tough flower out there. Like a flower that beats up other flowers.
What do you think?
I'm off to get some work done. It's one of those tired days. Enjoy the nice weather!

Big Yellow Movie
Hey folks, Lopez back in the saddle again! I come back and Paul is gone, too. I just can't get a break!
Did anybody see the Simpsons Movie this weekend? It did really well! I didn't see it yet, but I would like too. Somebody asked me which character I'm most like on the show and it's probably Comic Book Guy. I may not be as geeky as he is, but I'm pretty darn close. Who do you think you're like? It would be fun to see what some people think!
Also, somebody asked if I would get some pictures or video of my play online. Well, I don't know if it's legal to post the video, but I'm sure I can get some pictures to put up. I'll see what I can do.
That's all for today! I'll talk to you all again tomorrow. Enjoy!

I know I'll get hit for this
Lopez here, breaking into the blog on one of my days off. The play is going great so far. It's been a lot of fun.
Next week Paul is out and it will just be me and Dina. If you read the previous post, Dina is cranky from her diet, so I don't need you to give me any diet tips, but rather, give me tips on how to deal with a cranky Dina! I know I'm going to need a lot of help! Please!!!!
I'll talk to you next week. Enjoy the hot, humid weather! yuck...

Where in the World is Lopez?
Dina here!
No, the Pez isn't slapped between the pages of some children's book for you to find; he's just taking a couple of days off so he can focus on his play, which I am going to see tonight. I don't know how he does it. I could never remember all those lines! People are always asking me if we rehearse what we're going to say in our show. The answer to that is no. Believe me, if we rehearsed, it would definitely sound that way. Lopez is the only one in the room who can act! Besides, it's more fun on the fly. Being a Gemini, I love the unpredictable! Of course, we do have to watch out for saying anything that could get us fined/fired/flogged.
I would like to, at this point, put out a disclaimer that if I come across unusually crabby lately, it's because of my diet. I'm trying to be healthy, and to be healthy, I have to drop a few pounds. Well, easier said than done, as we all know! It's so tempting to eat what I'm making for the kids. Doesn't a soft, warm waffle drizzled with hot syrup sound a lot better than a tiny pre-packaged carboard-dry muffin? Or some M&M cookie dough ice cream (Breyer's) with hard top as opposed to a flavor-yet-to-be-indentified dessert bar? And don't get me started on steak.... Aauuughhh!!! Well, that's a typical day for me! Sorry if I just made any of you fellow dieters drool. Hey, if you've got any diet tips for me, I would really appreciate the help. I'm only on day #4 and my stomach is screaming "hey you - why are you ignoring me??? feed me - now!!!" It's quite loud!
Thanks for any advice you can give, and have a very scrumptuous Thursday!

Thriller, baby!
Lopez here again, how is everybody?
I hope all is going well. If you heard the show this monrning, we talked about the inmates dancing to Thriller. Well, here's the link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMnk7lh9M3o&mode=related&search=
It's a pretty impressive display!
Can you imagine doing something like this with your coworkers? Wouldn't that be fun. I think more businesses should get all their employees together and perform dances for youtube. That would be entertaining. What would you like to do? I would like to West Side Story because I like to "snap". Good times...
Have a wonderful day!

No Warrants for My Arrest
Phew....Lopez here and I'm a free man! Yay!
Yeah, I found that out yesterday due to some car "issues". Ahem...we'll not talk about it.
It seems that Paul and Dina are very excited about this new nickname "Pez" for me. Yeah, that doesn't thrill me. We got some great calls this morning about people having nicknames. Anybody else? Did you ever get one you loved or hated? Did you ever give one? Did they love it or hate you?
Let me know!
And tell Dina that when she is following her diet to not break stuff! hehe...she dropped some fruit on my recording equipment and made it flatline. It's ok, though, I fixed it.
Lastly, in case you were curious about the musical, here's the info. It's Urinetown: The Musical at South Hadley High School this Thurs., Fri., and Sat. at 7pm. It's rated PG and it's there to raise money for the high school theater dept. It should be a good time.
That's all for today. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Daniel Powter?
Cause I had a bad day...well, it's not that bad I guess. Lopez here. How is everybody!
Ever come back to work on a Monday Morning and have everything all messed up? Well, we did today. It was a very busy morning trying to get everything back to the way it's supposed to be. Microphones were messed up, the telephones were messed up, my hair was messed up. I know! That's horrible! :)
Well, that pretty much took up our whole morning. I hope your monday isn't as bad, but let me know if it is!
Enjoy!

Nasty Beans
Hi again,
Lopez here,
Did you hear us eat those Harry Potter jelly beans? They were NASTY! No joke. The rotten egg flavored jelly bean was the most horrible tasting thing I've ever had in my life. Dina was laughing at me and Paul as we tried all these different flavors like sardine, booger and earthworm. Gross...yech...I get all gurgley just thinking about it.
I thought I'd add a picture of Michael Knight, my Cabbage mentioned in the last post, in case people didn't believe he was real. Oh, he is.

Pretty sweet, right? He's got his mother's eyes...and his father's awesome! Ha!
Whew. What a day. I still can't get those jelly beans out of my head. I'm going to be ill for a few days, I think. What's the grossest thing you've eaten? Or...maybe you don't want to think about it again...or maybe I don't want to hear it.
Have a wonderful, and tasty, weekend!

Dina then went around tricking people in the building with the jelly beans and having them try them because "she didn't know what flavors they were". HA. She got a few people to fall for it...and it was priceless! hehe
What's a good practical joke you played on somebody?

The Cabbage Patch...Kids
Hi everybody, Lopez here,
Well, we were talking about what hot item did you have to have when you were a kid. Dina and I aren't too far apart in age and we both had Cabbage Patch Kids. Paul thinks they're ugly, so it seems he hasn't seen Michael Knight. No, not David Hasselhoff in Knight Rider, but rather the name I gave my awesome Cabbage. I will attempt to bring in a picture for everybody. He's cute and rocks harder than Paul could even imagine. What was the must have item for you when you were a kid?
Dina also brought in some ice cream she made all by herself. Paul got some, but didn't share because I ate the ice cream she brought in for me without sharing. So, we are now even. He did say that she made good ice cream. We all know Dina can't cook, but we know know she makes great ice cream! Too bad she can't make that for her kids every night at dinner. Well, she could, and they'd probably be happy, but I don't think it would be good for them. I wouldn't mind ice cream for dinner every night, though :)
Have a wonderful day and let me know what you HAD to have when you were a kid.

Happy Ice Cream
Well, it is National Ice Cream Month! And I am a fan of ice cream. It's Lopez here and I was lucky enough to eat some cherry/vanilla thing that Dina brought in for me. So, we should all celebrate by going out to get some ice cream. Go do it...as soon as possible...then do it again!
So, if you heard the end of the show, I have to wear a really tight shirt for my musical and a boy's large is still not tight enough. How sad is that? Oh well...Hopefully I'll magically grow muscles before the show. I doubt it, though.
Oh, and if you are interested, one of the characters in the show has really cute shoes. Yeah, they are these pink heeled peep toes (which I hope is a proper description) with little white polka dots and a bow on them. So, if you like cute shoes, you might dig them. I'll have to find out where she got them. Not for me, of course, but for you! Seriously...ahem...
That's all we got today. If anybody has any muscles I can borrow, please let me know. Thanks!

They're Heeeere
Hi again folks! This is Lopez again.
I watched a few minutes of that Victoria Beckham thing on NBC last night. She is one freaky looking lady. She looks like an alien. I only watched a scene where she was at some luncheon with a bunch of other rich women. These women were also very scary looking due to the HUGE amount of plastic surgery and lipstick. Then one lady made a dolphin sound. These are strange people.
What was funny was that Posh said she wanted an assistant who wasn't cute because she didn't want to give up any attention, but her assistant last night was very cute and million times better looking that her. Weird....
After a few minutes of that show, I got too scared to watch more. I had to go to bed and I didn't want nightmares.
Oh, and in case you are curious, I got my car inspected and got a REJECTED sticker...again. I'm always getting rejected...ho hum...hehe.
Well, I hope you all enjoy your Tuesday. If you're looking for a cool show to watch, the History channel has this show called The Universe and it's teaches you all sorts of neat things about...well...the universe! Good times.
Enjoy! We'll talk tomorrow!

Candy
Hi Everybody!
Lopez here. I just wanted to make sure everybody went out and bought Skittles. The Carnival flavored Skittles. They are so good! I think they were only out for a limited time because Stop and Shop had them in the discount bin, but they are GREAT! We talked about them on the air for a moment and they really are that good. Go buy them if you love candy.
Also, go see Transformers. It is the best movie. So completely awesome. Beyond awesome. It's the coolest movie ever made. Seriously.
Dina saw Ratatouille. She said it was very funny. Sounds like a good family movie. If you have younger kids, you should probably see that instead of Transformers...but when your little ones get old enough, make them see Transformers. Force them.
If they say, "I have homework."
You say, "Too bad! You are watching this movie. It's that good. It will teach you math and english and how to be awesome."
I should be a family counselor or something.
Well, everyone enjoy your Monday! What are some of your favorite movies? Do you ever force anybody to watch them? Your children or significant other or your friends? Let us know!

Twisting my arm
Hello lovelies,
Lopez here with more inside scooping. Sometimes I'll pick up a breakfast order for the folks here in the morning. It's funny because no matter who mentions it, everybody decides to order along. We usually go to Dunkin or Charlie's to get something. So, today, the morning guy on our sister station AM 1450, John, wanted food, so Paul and Dina, after some "armtwisting", went right along. Always a good time.
I'm boring because I follow a pretty strict diet. Not diet as in trying to lose weight, but just the food I eat. So, I never get anything. I also can't afford it. Being poor and self-obsessed equals no fun for Lopez. I can sympathize with you folks who bring lunch to work everyday. And all you rich folks who can afford it...well....ptttttttt...hehe...kidding, I'm always nice to rich people so I can get scraps. :)
Well, the weekend has started for many of you! Awesome! I hope you enjoy a few days off. Unless you work weekends like I do. Then I hope your weekend working goes awesome!
Monday Morning will have some great stuff on the show. I'll give you a few hints. If you ever wanted a toilet shaped like an alligator, we'll have info about that. Also, bathing suit fun for the ladies. And they are not related...but it sure would be weird if they were!
I'll be back to post on Monday as well. I hope this gives you a nice little peek at the life here at WMAS.

Dreaming of You
Hello lovely people,
Lopez here again. First of all, I am not obsessed with Dina. I am obsessed with comic books and Sara Ramirez (Callie from Grey's Anatomy), but not Dina. She just likes to get me huffy. The end.
Now, apparently Dina had a dream with ME in it. There was an event in the Bahamas and everybody from WMAS was there, but Dina and I had to share a room. I was furious with her because she was messy and I'm super clean. This is probably my kind of nightmare.
I actually lived with somebody for a while who was super messy and I practically lost it. He was a cool guy and nice friend, but left the place a mess. I had to clean....a lot. I'm sure some of you folks have some horrible roommate stories. Feel free to vent about them too!
Oh, and in case you're wondering, we ask psychic Gary McKinstry questions too. He told me that I'm just going to be working a lot. As usual. yay... Someday I'm hoping he'll say something good, but I won't keep my hopes up.
Always keep that glass half empty!

Lopez is OBSESSED with me!
Hey Everybody!
Dina here! Something you should know - my berry moisturizer smells good, and have you noticed, Lopez is obsessed with me? He's obsessed with me like I am with shoes. You would think he would have better things to talk about, like how Regis Philbin was wearing red dress pants today (what was he thinking?), but no, he is blathering on about ME! It's all about ME when it comes to Lopez! Should I be worried?
Anyway, enough about Lopez loving me.... Welcome to our blog, clog, whatever it is! I hope you'll share some of your thoughts with us, or perhaps come to my defense when the guys gang up on me from time to time.
I have to go and slap somebody now. And after I slap him, I'm going to smear gobs of berry cream all over him!
And my tan does look good, by the way, thanks to my moisturizer!
Later all!
p.s. sometimes the best thing to do is just look in the mirror and say "what shoes go with this stress" - Hallmark

Dina Stinks....hehehehe
Hello my favorite people!
Lopez here.
Ok, so Dina is trying to keep her tan looking fab. SO, she's been using this moisturizer (she says that it helps keep the tan looking good). It smells like berries. Like I just jumped into a pool full of berries. It's a little strong, but I guess I can't complain because now the studio, the hallway, the production room, the news room and the stairwell all smell like berries. Which is better than some of the smells that can happen around here.
If she reads this, I'll probably get slapped, but that's what I'm here for. A little behind the scenes action.
I hope everybody heard the song "Cows Just Wanna Have Fun" by our very own Dina McMahon. You should call in and request it if you missed it. We here at the morning crew will not get rid of it.
Did you hear about us talking about women going for buff men? What do you think ladies (or guys, whatever). Buff guy for the fun times, but then you settle down with average build guy? What do you look for? Let's keep it clean folks! I don't want to get fired.
We love you for listening!

Sputum
Lopez again.
Sputum: (spyoo-tem) a disgusting mixture of stuff you cough up like mucus and spit and grossness.
I love this new word. If you missed the story. Katie Couric seems to hate the word because it was in one of her news reports and she SLAPPED the guy who gave her the script. Good job Katie.
I swear, I've never heard this word in my life. I don't know how I missed it. I'm so happy that I have finally heard it. It's just fun to say. Sputum....spuuuuuutum....nice...
I hope to say it more often. Are there words you LOVE to say because they are so darn fun? Like chimichanga? That's a fun word too. Send in a comment.

Sputum: (spyoo-tem) a disgusting mixture of stuff you cough up like mucus and spit and grossness.

Our First Post
Hi folks,
Lopez here for the first posting for the groundbreaking blog (or clog) for the Morning Crew.
This will be a fun little way for us to chat with the audience in another way. Maybe you don't want to call in but still want to say something. You can do it here!
We will all try to post things here. Though Paul may not be able to figure out the computer, but we'll try to teach him.
You can post anything you want. If you want to yell at me after I criticize your favorite TV show, please do! I'm ok with that.
Hopefully we will have a wonderful, happy time online.
It's about time we tried this...
