Sputum: (spyoo-tem) a disgusting mixture of stuff you cough up like mucus and spit and grossness.
I love this new word. If you missed the story. Katie Couric seems to hate the word because it was in one of her news reports and she SLAPPED the guy who gave her the script. Good job Katie.
I swear, I've never heard this word in my life. I don't know how I missed it. I'm so happy that I have finally heard it. It's just fun to say. Sputum....spuuuuuutum....nice...

I like to say genre (zhen ra)- a type of literature such as poetry, folk tale, mystery, etc and
spelunker (spe lunk er)- a person who explores caves.
